What is Bakugan?
Bakugan Battle Brawlers (Bakugan Batoru Burorazu) is an anime series about the lives of creatures called Bakugan and the battle brawlers who have the deep power to wield them. Bakugan ("blast circular") is a strategic card game played with magnetic, spring-loaded marbles that flip up to form Bakugan action figures created by Sega Toys and Spin Master. The series debuted in Japan on TV Tokyo on April 5, 2007. The show had its North American debut in July 2007; 2007 on Teletoon in Canada. The show had its USA debut on Cartoon Network on February 24, 2008. "Bakugan" airs on Fried Dynamite's Dynamite Action Squad Saturday mornings. The show is a co-production from Nelvana Limited, Spin Master, Sega toys, Sega Corporation, TMS Entertainment, and Japan Vistec, the last two of which provide the show's animation.

- Bakugan Apollonir Power Level: 500G Ability Card: Maximum Pyrus Bio: The ultimate and legendary Pyrus Bakugan who is the ultimate Dragonoid with four sets of wings and a humanoid posture. The Leader of The 6 legendary Bakugan. He used a clown in his test on Dan, but told Dan that the only way Drago can evolve is for Dan to battle his friends.
- Bakugan Lars Lion Power level: 500G Ability Card: Sagitarius Arrow Bio: The legendary Haos Bakugan that resembles an Angel Warrior. The most moral of The 6 legendary Bakugan. She used an illusion of a younger Dan in her test on Runo.
- Bakugan Frosch Power Level: 500G Ability Card: Aquos Cyclone Bio: The legendary Aquos Bakugan that resembles a giant frog with an old man's beard. The wisest and the most tactical of The 6 legendary Bakugan. He used an illusion of Marucho in his test on Marucho.
- Bakugan Clayf Power Level: 500G Ability Card: Atomic Brave Bio: The legendary Subterra Bakugan. The strongest out of The 6 legendary Bakugan. He used an illusion of Daisy in his test on Julie.
- Bakugan Oberus Power level: 500G Ability Card: Turmoil Bio: The legendary Ventus Bakugan with a beak-shaped head and multiple butterfly wings. The most compassionate of the 6 legendary Bakugan. She used an illusion of a younger version of Shun's mother in her test on Shun.
- Bakugan Excedra Power level: 500G Ability Card: Final Wizard, Demon Wizard Bio: The legendary Darkus Bakugan that looks like a nine-headed Hydra-like Bakugan with a single eye and jaw on its chest. The most powerful of the 6 legendary Bakugan. He used an illusion of Alice in his test on Masquerade.
- Bakugan Dragonoid Power Level: 340G, then 380G, 400G, 420G Ability Card: Boosted Dragon Bio: A dragon-like Bakugan with wings on his arms. He is Dan's guardian Bakugan.
- Bakugan Delta Dragonoid Power Level: 450G Ability Card: D-strike, D-strike Extreme, delta dragon Bio: The first evolved version of Dragonoid with 3 sleek horns and hard plated armour in ball mode with a chrome ring.
- Bakugan Ultimate Dragonoid Power Level: 550G. Ability Card: Ultimate Dragon, Exceed Bio: The second evolved form of Drago. Has 4 sword sharp wings and energy lines on his body.
- Bakugan Infinity Dragonoid Power Level: 1000G. Ability Card:Burning Dragonia, Melted Burst . Bio: The final evolved version of Drago. He changes his look slightly, with more energy lines on his body and the Infinity Core and Silent Core on his chest. He is also dans Gaurdian Bakugan. Evolved in burning life.
- Bakugan Skyress Power Level: 360g Ability Card: Green Nobility Violent Storm, Fire Storm Bio: A Phoenix-like Bakugan. Shun's guardian Bakugan.
- Bakugan Storm Skyress Power Level: 450G Ability Card: Destruction Meteor Storm Bio: The evolved version of Skyress.
- Bakugan Tigrerra Power Level: 340G Ability Card: Cutting Saber, Crystal Fang Bio: A white tiger-like Bakugan. Runo's guardian Bakugan. She is also called "Tig" by Runo.
- Bakugan Blade Tigrerra Power Level: 450G Ability Card: Velocity Fang Bio: The evolved, humanoid version of Tigrerra with long fangs and blades all over her.
- Bakugan Preyas Power Level: 340G Ability Card: preyas switch Bio: A chameleon-like Bakugan. Able to change his attribute. Marucho's guardian Bakugan. Aside from being able to change his attribute Preyas is a wise cracking comedian.
- Bakugan Angelo/Diablo Preyas Power Level: 400G(both) Ability Card: ??? Bio: The evolved form of Preyas. They are two brothers. Angelo Preyas is a Haos/Aquos attribute Bakugan that looks like an angel where as Diablo Preyas is a very mean Bakugan with Aquos/Pyrus attribute who looks like a devil. They both share the same ball form.
- Bakugan Gorem Power Level: 380G Ability Card: Mega Impact Bio: A giant golem-like Bakugan. Julie's guardian Bakugan. His Mega Impact attack causes the enemy Bakugan to lose 100gs and Gorem to gain 50gs. That is why the giant Bakugan is very tough to defeat.
- Bakugan Hammer Gorem Power Level: 400G 450G Special Ability Card: Grand Impact Bio: The evolved version of Gorem that is stronger, more armored, and more powerful.
- Bakugan Hydranoid Power Level: 450G Ability Card: Chaos Of Darkness Bio: A Hydra-like Bakugan. Masquerade's/Alice's guardian Bakugan. He's extremely violent and arrogant. He feeds off the power of the Bakugan sent to the Doom Dimension, allowing him to evolve.
- Bakugan ual Hydranoid Power Level: 480G Ability Cards: Dual Gazer, Destruction Impact, Darkus Gazer Excedra Bio: The Evolved version of Hydranoid that has two heads. It has a giant razor blade in its stomach area used to damage opponents.

- Bakugan Reaper Power Level: 370G Ability Card:Dimension 4, Double Dimension Bio: Originally Masquerade's guardian Bakugan, Reaper is a Bakugan with a skeleton Bakugan body, horns, demon wings, and a reaper scythe. He willingly followed Masquerade and was shown to have no problems with killing other Bakugan, causing him to form a rivalry with Drago. Despite his loyalty towards Masquerade, Reaper was replaced by Hydranoid in "Just For the Shun of it" when Masquerade sent Reaper to the Doom Dimension. Since the replacement, nothing was mentioned of him ever again until the brawlers last stand when Drago goes to the Doom Dimension.

Main Bakugan Characters
Daniel "Dan" Kuso: Dan is the leader of the Bakugan Battle Brawlers. He’s a twelve year old boy who is more street smart than book smart and is always looking for adventure. Dan wears his emotions on his sleeve. He is quick to react in situations and at the same time, quick to temper. Dan’s life revolves around Bakugan, with his greatest ambition to become the number one ranked Bakugan player in the world. He is the master of the power play and uses fire attributes in battle.
Runo Misaki: At the age of 12, Runo is not your typical pre-teen girl. Runo is a tomboy though who loves playing Bakugan with people that have skills to show off. Runo is in love with Dan but she wouldn't admit it and is jealous of Julie taking Dan's attention. At the end of the series, Runo is seen with Dan on a date going to the movies. In battle, she uses light attributes. Her Guardian Bakugan is the Haos-attribute Tigrerra, who is very obedient to her master and powerful in battle. Runo hates when people think that just because she is a girl, they can beat her.
Marucho: He is a wealthy, 11 year old who is generous. He is what you could call a walking encyclopedia. He loves to play Bakugan and work on strategies. He used to be extremely obedient to his parents out of fear, but that changed when he met the Brawlers. He now has no regrets for the past, realizing that he only wanted to make his parents happy. His Guardian Bakugan are the Aquos-attribute Preyas and the Haos Angelo/Pyrus Diablo Preyas. Preyas was sent to the Doom Dimension in Marucho's battle with Klaus Von Hertzon. Later Klaus shows up with Preyus. Dan and Runo find a way to get Preyas back through defeating him in battle. Preyas evolves into a two-sided Bakugan called Preyas Angelo (Haos) and Preyas Diablo (Pyrus). Unlike the other Bakugan however, Preyas multiplies when he evolves, so Marucho got to keep the old Preyas. He is short and small. Preyas also has a move called "Change of Attribute" with that he can take advantage of the opponents gate card.
Julie Makimoto: She lives near Bakugan Valley. She's 12 years old and tries to stay happy even when the worst has happened (for example, when Billy ended up under the control of Masquerade), her acting happy after something terrible happened is generally just to cover up her real feelings. Julie can also forget things easily, proving that she is a little scatterbrained at times. She is always up and happy with a positive attitude. At the beginning of the series, she is shown to have a crush on Dan (which led to some arguments with a jealous Runo), but later, she likes Shun and accepts a date offer from him and they start going out. Julie has a sister named Daisy who has bested her in everything since she was a child. Her Guardian Bakugan is Subterra-attribute Gorem.
Shun Kazami: He is a very strong, silent, cool type 12-year-old. He is the former 1st ranked Bakugan player who later moves down to sixth position. He is a master of Bakugan, and is also Dan's childhood friend. Shun is a loner, a boy of very few words, yet is willing to help his friends at every turn almost. He approaches Bakugan like a ninja. He lives with his grandfather (who used to be a famous ninja warrior) who once expected Shun to follow in his footsteps instead of playing Bakugan. Later he goes on a date with Julie and they start going out. His Guardian Bakugan is the Ventus-attribute Skyress whom Shun received from his comatose mother in the hospital.
Alice Gehabich: She is a 14-year-old-girl and, the princess of Bakugan from Moscow who doesn't play Bakugan. Michael Gehabich is her grandfather, but after learning that her grandfather became Hal-G and works with Naga, she constantly worried about him. Alice usually just gives advice to the brawlers, instead of battling. Alice and Marucho are the 2 brawlers who mostly use strategy. Although unlike Marucho, Alice gives her strategies to the brawlers. During season 2 she left the Brawlers after finding out that she was Masquerade out of intense guilt over what she did as him, but later returns in time to save Dan and Drago.
Masquerade: He used to be the number 1 Bakugan player before he left Alice's body. His goal is to send all Bakugan to the doom dimension with his Doom Card, so he can evolve Hydranoid and have the Ultimate Bakugan. He is revealed to be Alice in episode 38 and 39. Masquerade came to being when negative energy changed Alice. (Who doesn't know she is Masqurade or what happens when she becomes him.) Alice's Grandfather was also affected by the negative energy and he was changed into Hal-G.(A man working with Naga to destroy Earth and Vestroia.) He battles with Dan in episode 38 and loses. He is actually Alice, but Masquerade disappears from her body.
* Joe Brown: Also known as Webmaster Joe. He lived in a hospital with his mother. The Brawlers used to think he was working for Masquerade, but he actually sent a message to the Brawlers to warn them that Masquerade was plotting against them. When he met Dan, he said he would only tell him if he was working for Masquerade if Dan beat him in a battle. In the middle of the battle he fainted. When he woke up he asked to be one of the Brawlers. They gladly accepted. Sometime after he moved to the Brawlers neighborhood, he found Wayvern who had the Infinity core inside her. Wayvern's attribute is Infinity which is positive energy. Wayvern is Joe's Guardian Bakugan.
