Kids just love Pokemon. And guess what, the latest Pokemon game is just in town and I will briefly give you an introduction.

Pokemon Diamond and Pearl are set in the fictional region of Sinnoh. Sinnoh is actually an island based on the real Japanese island of Hokkaidō (Oh that is a place where my spouse especially likes to go on a holiday! Too bad I won’t be seeing any Pokemon on my trip). If you like to play Pokemon Diamond and Pearl, perhaps you would like to go to Hokkaidō too! Oh and if you are interested in buying some pokemon related stuff, why not check out this pokemon website: Pokemon Action Figures Set

Like all other Pokemon Game Boy games, Pokemon Diamond and Pearl both revolve around the adventures of a new Pokémon trainer. And also like all previous Game Boy games, this trainer goes through a long adventure of capturing Pokemon, training and leveling up Pokemon, battling bad guys as well as well as wild pokemon and eventually becoming the Pokémon League winner , which is if you make it till the end. And if you have been playing past Pokemon Game Boy games like Pokemon Red, Pokemon Blue, Pokemon Yellow, Pokemon Green, Pokemon Gold, Pokemon Silver, Pokemon Crystal, Pokemon Ruby, Pokemon Sapphire and many many other Pokemon Game Boy games, most of the time you have to battle the Gym Leaders to get a badge, and in Pokemon Diamond and Pearl, you will battle against eight Pokémon gym leaders who are specialized at using different types of pokemon. Not to forget that in Pokemon Diamond and Pearl you get to battle a crime group known as Team Galactic, a variation of the classic Team Rocket who are the bad guys in the Pokemon anime .

Pokemon Diamond and Pearl is played on the Nintendo DS and not the old Game Boy. This allows certain features of the Pokemon Diamond and Pearl games to be improved . Currently with Nintendo DS which is a more advanced version of Nintendo Game Boy, the game even allows Internet play (this is done over the Nintendo Wi-Fi Link-up ). Previously, the Game Boy was interlinkable and two different players on the Game Boy can fight each other’s Pokemon. Understand that there are also enhancements made to the battle mechanics, while older game concepts such as Pokémon Contests were retained. And as usual, both versions are independent of each other but contain almost the same plot. However, one will not be able to catch all the pokemon unless he trades pokemon between Pokemon Diamond and Pokemon Pearl. This is because you can only catch certain pokemon in either Pokemon Diamond or Pokemon Pearl, hence to catch all pokemon you would have to go through both games. And of course there are much needed game guides to tell you where all the different pokemon are hiding to catch them all! Let us go into greater detail of this Pokemon Diamond and Pearl game. Like all other Pokémon role playing games, the main character starts off his journey in his own hometown, just like in the Pokemon cartoon when Ash Ketchum starts off the journey in his own home town known as Pallet Town. Your character views a television news report about a media-conducted search for a Red Gyarados spotted at a lake. For your information Gyarados is a very strong water type Pokemon. I used to like to train the Gyarados and include it as one of my six pokemon when I was playing Pokemon game boy games. After seeing this news report, your character decides to travel together with your best friend to check out the lake. They then bump into Professor Rowan (who is a Pokémon evolution researcher) and his assistant. After the professor and his assistant leave the lake, they accidentally leave a briefcase behind. Suddenly , they get attacked by wild Starly, the starfish pokemon. You then examine the briefcase and are given a choice to select one of the three Pokémon (either Chimchar, Turtwig, or Piplup) to use for battle against the Starly. Professor Rowan decides to offer the Pokemon to you and asks you to go on your journey .

If you do not know much about Pokémon Diamond or Pokémon Pearl, then where have you been the past 10 years ? Ok maybe you don’t know much about Pokemon Diamond and Pokemon Pearl, but I think you do know about Pokemon right? What?! You don’t know about Pokemon too? You are asking me what is or are Pokemon? Oh dear. Ok let us commence from the beginning then. I shall introduce to you what Pokemon is first, before I talk about Pokemon Diamond or Pokemon Pearl. How is that?

If you ask me, Pokemon is a real fantastic discovery . And who is this clever Pokémon creator? He is none other than Satoshi Tajiri. Satoshi Tajiri works for Nintendo and he created Pokemon as a media franchise for video game company Nintendo in 1996. If you are thinking of Pokemon because of the pokemon anime , then you would be surprised to know that Pokemon was originally released as a pair of interlinkable Game Boy role-playing video games. They were known as Pokemon Red and Pokemon Blue. Subsequently , all the releases of Pokemon were similarly in “colours”, except when they ran out of colours hahaha. Well, Pokemon was later merchandised into anime, manga, trading cards, toys, books, and other media. If you are looking for fantastic pokemon action figures, you might want to visit this website here.

Pokémon also means Pocket Monsters and also to all the fictional species that have appeared in Pokémon anime, games or toys. For example, this is like talking about “animals” in our world whereas in the world of pokemon, all living things except humans are known as pokemon. Oh and pokemon refers to both singular and plural forms of the word Pokemon. So in the case where there are animals, there are no “pokemons” with an “s”.

So now that I briefly introduced Pokemon to you, I am going to talk about Pokemon Diamond and Pokemon Pearl. Again Pokemon Diamond and Pokemon Pearl refer to Nintendo Pokemon role playing games. I guess Nintendo ran out of colours so now they are given the names of Pokemon Diamond and Pokemon Pearl. Oh and another dissimilarity is that these role-playing games (RPGs) are developed by Game Freak and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo DS. Right now the Nintendo DS has replaced the Nintendo Game Boy so I guess you can’t really get Nintendo Game Boy games anymore! Pokemon Diamond and Pokemon Pearl are spin offs from Pokémon Platinum (hmmm maybe I will talk about Pokemon Platinum another day!) and Pokemon Diamond and Pokemon Pearl games are the fifth installment and fourth generation of the Pokémon series! Pokemon sure has come a long way and I salute the creators for bring so creative and coming up with so many so many Pokemon! Yes there are so many Pokemon that I just love all of them. But if you are interested to know which is my favourite, check out some of these pokemon diamond and pearl action figures first!

Like previous Pokémon games, the gameplay in Pokemon Diamond and Pearl is similar . Again you play the role of a young Pokémon trainer. This time this Pokemon trainer is not Ash Ketchum but he is you ok? Do not get confused with the Pokemon anime! Now as you the main character goes around in the game boy world of Pokemon Diamond and Pokemon Pearl, you get to meet wild pokemon, fight them or maybe capture them. Of course along the way you may also be given pokemon similar to those of the other games. Then of course there are the bad guys who you have to defeat to save the world of Pokemon.
